Spring is a wonderful season. The grass is green and there are new green leaves on the trees. The birds come back from the south and begin to build their nests. The sun shines brightly, the days are warm and everything begins to grow.

Then summer comes. The weather is usually fine in summer. There are beautiful flowers in the gardens and fields, in the meadows and woods. Everybody likes summer. A lot of people leave the towns and go to the country or to the seaside to spend their holidays. Summer is the best season for sports in the open air. Summer is harvest time in the south.

Autumn begins in September, but the weather is still warm in September. In October the sky is often grey and cloudy and the days are sometimes cold. It is cold in November.

Then you take a bag and put the 12 months & 7 days of the week into it, draw out the names individually and say: It’s the third day of the week. It’s the twelfth (last) month of the year.
