Тема. Домашні ліки. Рецепти здоров’я

Мета:

– вдосконалювати навички аудіювання, читання, усного та писемного мовлення;

– формувати навички вживання ситуативних та тематичних лексичних одиниць у граматичних структурах теми;

– практикувати учнів у виконанні комунікативних проблемних завдань засобами іншомовного спілкування з елементами аналізу та самоаналізу;

– розвивати увагу, почуття колективізму.

A) Перевірка виконання домашнього завдання

B) “Домашні ліки”, текст, с. 72.

1) In your notebook write home remedies that are used for common illnesses in your family.

Collect the information from the group.

Analyze the information and present it in the form of a graph or poster.

2) Walk around your school paying attention to the places that can be dangerous.

Think of the activities which you do at school. Which of them can be dangerous?

Develop safety rules for your school and present your information.

3) On the way to school and back home pay attention to the road, the doors of the buildings, the steps in them, the pavements and other things that can become a problem for disabled people.

What can you and your group mates do to change such things so that they could become

convenient for people with disabilities? Present your plan of actions to the class.

C) Here are eight Tao exercises which are easy to do and only take 20-30 minutes a day. They develop a very high degree of control over your breathing and help to coordinate, your breathing and movement. All excellent for voice work.

Do you find it hard to concentrate? Mentally “switching off” all the time is the first symptom of boredom.

Do you often suffer from infections? Being bored leads to high levels of stress hormones such as cortisol, which inhibit the immune system.

Do you spend your days making endless cups of tea and coffee and your evenings grazing on snacks or regularly drink alcohol at lunchtime? Both are common boredom symptoms. If you catch yourself eating between meals, ask yourself if you are really hungry or just filling the time?

Are you spending most of your time worrying about tiny details and blowing small events out of all proportion? Ask yourself whether the things that concern you really matter in the big picture.
