Практикувати учнів в аудіюванні.

І. ПІДГОТОВКА ДО СПРИЙНЯТТЯ ІНШОМОВНОГО МОВЛЕННЯ
Greeting and Aim
1. Привітання і повідомлення теми та мети уроку.
Т: Good morning, dear pupils! Our topic today is “The Seasons. Autumn”. By the end of the lesson you will be able:
– to listen to the text about autumn and talk about it;
– to memorize some poems about autumn;
– to show how you prepared your Home Reading task.

2. Уведення в іншомовну атмосферу.
Фон етично-лінгвістичне опрацювання римування.
Т: Do you remember the rhyme “Autumn Leaves”. Let us recite it all together.
Учні разом повторюють римування, що вони заучували на попередньому уроці.

Listening Comprehension
1. Аудіювання. Впр. 1 (с. 20).
Pre-Listening Activity. Етап підготовки до слухання тексту.
Т: Now you are going to listen to a text about autumn. There are two expressions I’d like to explain to you. The first is: “The night is as long as the day” i. e. the day lasts 12 hours and the night – 12 hours. It happens two times a year on the 23rd of September and on the 23rd of March. And “rather cold” is translated as “доволі холодно”.
2) While-Listening Activity. Прослуховування тексту і виконання впр. 1 (с. 20).
А) Учні самостійно читають запитання впр. 1 (с. 20).
Т: Read the questions on page 20 before listening to the text.
Б) Учні прослуховують текст в аудіо-запису або з голосу вчителя.
AUTUMN
Summer is over and autumn begins. During autumn the weather is bright and most days the sky is blue. The days become shorter and the nights longer. On September 23rd the day’s as long as the night. It is not so warm now. You can’t swim in the river or lake, because the water is rather cold. But you can go boating or have a picnic near a river on a sunny autumn day.
In September leaves begin to change their colour into yellow and red. In October the forests are very beautiful. In November it often rains.
Autumn is a nice season. It brings tasty fruit and vegetables.
3) Post-Listening Activity. Етап перевірки розуміння змісту тексту.
А) Учні відповідають на запитання впр. 1 (с. 20) у режимі Р 
Class.
Б) Учні за бажанням переказують текст з опорою на запитання. Клас доповнює перекази однокласників.
Writing
2. Практикування учнів у писемному мовленні. Впр. 4 (с. 21).
Один з учнів пише вправу на дошці, інші – у зошитах, потім вони звіряють з написаним на дошці та ланцюжком читають по одному реченню. Учитель контролює правильність виконання завдання.
Speaking
3. Тренування у мовленні за темою:
1) Впр. 5 (с. 21).
Вчитель декламує вірш, потім учні читають по одному куплету.
2) Впр. З (с. 20).
Учитель знайомить учнів з англійським прислів’ям Everything is good in its season (“На все свій час”). Учні разом повторюють за вчителем приказку, далі вчитель пропонує за бажанням повторити її самостійно.
Home Reading
4. Контроль розуміння змісту тексту для домашнього читання “The Wizard of Oz”.
1) T: Did you like the story “The Wizard of Oz”? How long did it take you to read it? Let us check how you understood it.
Учитель проводить вікторину. За кожну правильну відповідь на запитання, учні отримують один бал.
T: Whom did we meet in the story? (Dorothy, Toto, the Wizard of Oz, the Lion, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man.) Now tell me, please, who thought:
– he was a coward (the Lion);
– he had no brain (the Scarecrow).
Let us read now how the Wizard of Oz helped them all.
2) Читання по черзі вголос тексту на с. 159.
III. ЗАКЛЮЧНА ЧАСТИНА УРОКУ
Homework
1. Домашнє завдання.
1) Впр. 2 (с. 20), прочитати текст, відповісти на запитання.
2) РЗ, впр. 1-7 (с. 12-13), учитель пояснює учням, як робити календар.

Оцінювання роботи учнів.
